My name is Anca Sira and I am a California Board Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist and Nationally Certified Acupuncturist in the San Francisco Bay Area. I began my healing career in 1991 as a massage therapist and then graduated from the Meiji College of Oriental Medicine in San Francisco, California in 1998. Since then, I have devoted all of my practice to the restoration of reproduction so that couples who are unable to conceive can begin to bring their bodies into a healthy state for conception to occur naturally, or if they choose medical procedures such as IVF, that the eggs and sperm are in optimal condition for the transfer.

When I was in acupuncture school I knew without a doubt that I wanted to specialize in fertility issues. It was there I began my extensive research into reproductive health from both western and eastern approaches. As a result of years of investigative studies into this subject, I can say with total confidence that my knowledge and experience of what it takes for a woman to conceive, from immune issues to de-stressing one's life, makes me one of the top practitioners in this field. I love solving the mystery of why someone is not getting pregnant.

"What you can expect"

When you come in, there is an initial 2-hour appointment. In this first visit, I will go over any medical tests and history you have as I am well versed in western medical language and procedures. I am equally well versed in the subtle language of the body, such as reading pulses, to pinpoint where any deficiencies lie.

My target is to empower you as a whole person; therefore I work with your physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects. My success rates with women is 70%, and it is dependent upon your willingness to follow the program I develop for you, which includes dietary recommendations, customized herbal formulas, supplements, and lifestyle changes. I also work with quite a number of men, focusing mainly on diet and nutritional supplements. With men, I have a 90% success rate at improving sperm pathologies.

My practice is in San Rafael, California, and I do have patients nation-wide. I offer phone consultations for those who are not within driving distance to my office, so even if I don't work with you in person, I can customize herbs and supplements for you, in addition to regular phone appointments. And although fertility issues are my specialty, I work with other conditions, too. I treat women who want to regulate their cycles as well as women who are well past the childbearing age.
